My speech
Hi my name is Peter I am going to be talking to you about why adults should never smoke so you should probably listen to me before you go and smoke another useless cigarette.
1st point you can go blind people need their eyes to see things.
2nd point it might harm your baby.
3rd point it cost $266 a week imagine how much money you would spend in a year, probably a lot, moving on.
If you smoke you are just making yourself sick and wasting money on something that is just going to make you very unhealthy.
That money could be spent on something more useful like a holiday or food for your family. If you smoke your teeth will go yellow, you can get lung cancer, you will have bad breath and it will affect your brain. Smoking is hard to give up because the nicotine in the cigarette is addictive. If you smoke you will not live longer if you don't smoke you will live longer.
To sum up:
If you smoke for a long time your lungs get filled with tar which makes it hard for you to breathe and eventually can cause lung cancer. The poisons in cigarettes make your teeth go yellow and can cause gum disease which means you might have to have all of your teeth pulled out by the dentist. It can make you go blind by causing the eye disease AMD.
It can damage unborn babies and can cause heart attacks and strokes. It seems a bit crazy to spend a lot of money on something that can cause so much damage to your body. Knowing this I hope you will choose not to smoke. Thank you for listening to my speech about why smoking is addictive and bad.
